On my second 12 day stint at work. Knowing what I know now I would never accept the request to work straight through for 12 or 14 days again.
I’m physically as well as mentally tortured at the moment.
Luckily I have leave in July to recuperate.

The title of this post is my boss’s favourite quote.
Well just finished 14 days consecutive work – teaching 3 x Recurrent Course and most of an Initial Course.
I would say it’s the hardest I’ver ever worked in my life – never worked as hard during Gulf War One and as a consequence not something I want to repeat in the near future.
For interest sake I was the Flight Engineer on one crew that shared a K1 TriStar based in Riyadh during Gulf War One, dispensing fuel to Allied aircraft – Tornado’s, F14′s etc.
I arrived in Hong Kong on the 3rd January after spending a break of 3.5 years in the UK working for FlightSafety International at Farnborough.
I joined FSI after completing my flying career with Dragonair on the B747 in 2008. I would have liked to have flown longer, but Cathay Pacific after taking over Dragonair disposed of the B747. Consequently, I joined FlightSafety International and trained in Savannah for 6 months to become a Gulfstream instructor.
